This post is an extension to my previous post (here) which features G-AMYJ – the Douglas Dakota DC-3 aeroplane. I have a bit of a fascination with this aircraft and if I can find original images (slides, negatives, etc), I will include them as part of the archive.
G-AMYJ in her Air Atlantique livery. She was purchased by Air Atlantique in the early 1980s an operated as a pollution control aircraft until the late 1990s after which she was donated to to the Yorkshire Air Museum.
I found a single frame negative for sale on eBay. It featured G-AMYJ believed to be at the "new" Manchester Airport Terminal between 1963 - 1969 when the aircraft was being operated by British United. Here is that picture.
